Member Spotlight: Kate Goodin

Kate Goodin is the Web Content Editor at
Slimming World.

In 1969, Slimming World founder Margaret Miles-Bramwell OBE started the company in the U.K. to help people lift both the physical and emotional burden of being overweight. Having tried many diets herself, without lasting success, Margaret knew that hunger, deprivation and guilt weren’t the answer. And from that, Slimming World was born. They offer a healthy eating plan that’s not a diet—it’s something members and their families can follow for life—and they support their members in making the changes, big and small, needed to lose weight for life with a unique weekly online group, plus original content, recipes, tools and more.

As web content editor, Kate commissions, edits and writes all content on the public and member sites, on topics ranging from rediscovering weight loss motivation to quick and easy ways to cook healthy foods.

I’m a solo attorney in Jersey City with a practice that focuses mainly on real estate law. I work closely with people who are buying and selling property, whether it’s first-time homebuyers who are purchasing their first home, to real estate developers looking to gut renovate brownstones and turn them into condos. I work with landlords and tenants to help make things right when they go wrong. Essentially, I’m a problem solver: I do my best to ease my clients’ minds by making an otherwise complicated and frustrating process as straightforward and stress-free as possible.
